Charles Anthony "Chuck" Haynes, age 53 of Shelby, North Carolina died Monday, December 17, 2017 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. Chuck was born in Shelby on September 5, 1964 and worked as a computer analyst. He was a 1982 graduate of Crest High School and received a double major from Garder-Webb University and went on to receive computer training from IBM. He had also worked for NCNB in Charlotte. Chuck was a faithful member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and was devoted to the puppet ministry in the church. He also served as director of Frontline in Shelby, a youth program for three years.
Chuck was injured in a swimming accident when he was seventeen which left him disabled. His faith in the Lord and loving devotion of his parents, family, and friends gave him the determination to always move forward. He never complained and he never gave up.
Survivors include his parents, Ralph and Shirley Godfrey Haynes of the home, his uncle, William Lawrence Haynes and wife Rachel of Sunset Beach, NC as well as numerous cousins including, James C. Nanney, Judy Ammons, Philip Godfrey, Roger Trotter, and Randy Schieth.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Chad Sisk and Reverend Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 1 until 2:15 prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202.

Chuck Haynes will be missed so much. He was the best computer repair person I know. He was so faithful in helping me when I had a problem with my computer. I knew I could call him anytime and he would get it fixed. Will miss you Chuck. Bernice Kaut

So sorry to hear of your loss. It has been many years since I have seen you or Chuck. I remember him driving around in that green Chevrolet. Glad he was able to enjoy it for a while. I will keep you in my prayers.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. I just always remembering him having a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
