Arnold Ray Crotts, age 64 of Forest City, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1953 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Bertie Lee and Hazel Earley Crotts. Arnold worked in textiles for most of his life, first with Cone Mills and later with Abercrombie Textiles where he retired. He was a simple man who loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was especially proud of his grandson, who serves in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Davis Crotts, brothers, Jim Crotts, Bill Crotts, and sister, Martha Kay Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Meranda Crotts Bradley of Forest City, grandson, Matthew Bumgartner and wife Victoria of Fort Hood, Texas, granddaughter, Amee Quijano of Bostic and his great-grandson, Liam Bumgartner.
Arnold will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Jennifer in a private service for his immediate family.
