Patricia Irene Tetrick, age 74 of Forest City died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Hospice House of Forest City. Pat was born April 9, 1943 in Fairmont, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Ernest M. Miller and Valeria Morgan Miller. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Phyllis Adair Miller.

She was a supporter and former President of the Rutherford County Humane Society and also one of the original volunteers with the Rutherford County Animal Protection Alliance, later known as the Community Pet Center where she participated on the Board of Directors. Most of all, Pat will be remembered for her extraordinary love of animals, the neglected, sweet, shy, small and large. Pat loved them all and worked tirelessly to protect them.
Pat is survived by a host of friends including Faye Thompson, Jill Bradshaw, and Lynn Faltraco as well as former co-workers and members of her church family.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at ten o'clock Thursday morning in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father Herbert Burke and Deacon Andy Cilone serving as celebrants. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The Rosary will be recited at six o'clock on Wednesday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary with visitation to follow.

Many wonderful memories of Pat as we worked together for years at SSA. Her love for dogs was HUGE but she loved ALL animals. Once she looked tirelessly for a humane mouse trap that would NOT kill the mice. . . she only wanted to catch them and then let them go in the field near her home!! LOL! I also remember the time she delayed getting a cast for a broken foot because she wouldn't have money for dog food if she got it immediately . . . REFUSED to let anyone loan her the money. . . just waited until the next payday! THAT was Pat, her animals came before herself! She was special and she WILL be missed!
